Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
